Blue 52 came about from the original idea for a sharp, customer focused cocktail bar. The concept for the design was created by Nightclub guru James (Jay Jay) O’Donoghue - EVG Eventures Group. The concept was for a cocktail bar designed ‘for cocktail bartenders by a cocktail bartender’, in terms of space, storage and accessibility. The original ‘BLUE’ bar had taken Navan by storm and created a massive following in terms of mixology and flair.
On Friday 15th June 2007 - The Re-launch of ‘BLUE 52’ cocktail bar & menu took place with celebrity socialites “Calum Best & Katy French”. Exhibition bartenders displayed their skills which will be a regular occurrence @ BLUE 52, to be followed with an Annual Cocktail Competition & Training Camp to enhance Navan’s cocktail team. The BLUE 52 cocktail menu was compiled after numerous consultations with the crew of Blue 52 and the regular patrons to the original BLUE bar.
